Martez S. Robertson, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 20, 2021, in Peoria, Illinois. Martez was fatally shot at the Stop 'n' Save convenience store located at 800 NE Jefferson Ave. The incident occurred around 6 p.m., and the ShotSpotter gunfire detection system alerted authorities to the scene.
