Kimani Whalum, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2021, in Country Club Hills, Illinois. The incident occurred during a home invasion at his residence on Farmcrest Trail. Kimani and his older brother, Clarence Whalum, aged 22, were both found with gunshot wounds when police responded to a call about the invasion around 7:30 p.m. Despite being rushed to the hospital, both brothers succumbed to their injuries.
