Keith Shanklin, a 49-year-old Black male from Harvey, Illinois, was tragically killed on October 10, 2021. Shanklin sustained multiple gunshot wounds at approximately 6:11 a.m. at a Shell gas station located at 273 E. 147th Street in Harvey. He succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter, being pronounced dead at 6:42 a.m. by the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.
