Kenny Stone, a 39-year-old African American man from Harvey, Illinois, was tragically shot to death on July 11, 2019. The incident occurred near the 16000 block of Halsted Street, not far from his residence on East 165th Street. Stone was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead shortly before 9 p.m. at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office ruled his death a homicide following an autopsy conducted the next day.
