Kamare Jones, a 22-year-old African American male from Hazel Crest, was tragically shot and killed on March 10, 2019, in Harvey, Illinois. The incident occurred early in the morning near the intersection of West 159th Street and Dixie Highway. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Kamare Jones was shot multiple times in the head at approximately 5:20 a.m. He was subsequently transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he succumbed to his injuries about five hours ...
