Ronald Pitts, a 33-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on November 3, 2021, in the Grand Crossing neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Pitts was walking his dog around 5:20 p.m. on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of South Woodlawn Avenue when a vehicle approached, and someone inside fired shots at him, striking him in the head.
