In the spring of 2009, amid a rising tide of violence in Baltimore, Maryland, a 26-year-old man named William Jarvis Jones became another victim of the city's escalating homicide rate. On May 2nd of that year, Jones was found having been shot multiple times. His death was officially classified as a homicide by the Baltimore Police Department, adding his name to the growing list of the city's unsolved cases.
