Luis Mendoza, a 54-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on February 20, 2022, in the Hermosa neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 7:25 p.m. in the 2200 block of North Kedvale Avenue, where Mendoza was shot in the chest. He was immediately transported to Stroger Hospital but was pronounced dead about an hour later. Mendoza lived in the same block where the shooting took place, indicating that the attack happened near his home.
