Ricky Xavion Lee Rush, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 23, 2022, in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. On that fateful evening, Ricky was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 2000 block of West 65th Street when an unknown assailant approached and shot him in the chest. The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m., and despite being rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, Ricky was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
