Fransisco Ramirez was a 22-year-old Hispanic man whose life was cut short in his home city of Chicago, Illinois, in the summer of 2022.
On the evening of Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Fransisco was in an apartment in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the city's South Side. At approximately 5:50 p.m., while in the residence in the 6300 block of South King Drive, an unknown person approached him and opened fire.
Fransisco was shot in the chest.
According to the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, his injury was fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Chicago police launched an investigation into the shooting. However, no arrests were made in connection with the homicide. As of the last available information in August 2022, the case remains unsolved.
