Quardreka Payne, a 32-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on September 29, 2022, in Peoria, Illinois. The circumstances surrounding her death were both violent and heartbreaking. On that fateful day, Quardreka was brutally attacked by her husband, Rickey J. Payne, who was 35 years old at the time.
