Marcus Lee Hall Sr., a 61-year-old white male, was tragically shot and killed on June 21, 1992, in Hazelhurst, Georgia. Sheriff Hall was responding to a domestic violence incident where a man had shot his wife. Initially, Sheriff Hall went to a restaurant where the shooting occurred, but upon learning that the suspect had fled, he proceeded to the suspect's residence.
