Jeremy Javies, a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically murdered on March 22, 1995, in Clayton, Georgia. The circumstances surrounding his death were particularly brutal. Jeremy was killed by multiple gunshot wounds, including two close-range shotgun blasts to the face, which were intended to finish him off after he had already been wounded by several shots from a 12-gauge shotgun. This violent act shocked the local community and led to an intense investigation.
