Donald D.J. Battle Jr., a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 15, 2014, in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Donald had recently moved from Minnesota to Georgia and was leaving the Branch House Tavern on McEver Road when he was fatally shot just after 2 a.m. The incident occurred outside the tavern, and the Flowery Branch police, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), were involved in processing the scene and conducting the investigation.
