Goldy Lee Watkins Sr., a 59-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on May 27, 2014, in Riverdale, Georgia. Watkins was found shot twice inside his home on Stark Court. The incident occurred after an altercation with Joseph Horace Stephens, a 21-year-old man who had been staying with Watkins. Stephens was reportedly asked to leave the residence due to allegations of theft, which led to the fatal confrontation.
