On October 26, 2020, Eyton Lamar Edwards, a 28-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed outside Riverdale High School in Riverdale, Georgia. The incident occurred around 5 p.m., and Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the City of Riverdale Police Department, the shooting did not involve any students from the school.
