Donovan Hernandez, a 43-year-old Hispanic male, passed away on July 12, 2014, in Fort Benning, Georgia. Hernandez, a retired U.S. Army veteran, had served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, spending 16 years in the 3rd Ranger Battalion and 15 years in Special Forces. After his military career, he transitioned to a role as an investment banker with BB&T and was actively involved in his community, including being a member of Christ Community Church and the Muscogee Rotary Club.
