Willie Bernard "Nard" Thomas, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 22, 2014, while standing in his yard in the 3100 block of Hillcrest Circle in Tifton, Georgia. He was pronounced dead later at Tift Regional Medical Center. The incident occurred during an attempted armed robbery, which led to his untimely death.
