In the summer of 2015, the community of Tifton, Georgia, was unsettled by a grim discovery that marked the beginning of a long and somber mystery. On the morning of Friday, July 31st, a relative entered a residence at 402 Cole Street to find a tragic scene. Inside lay the bodies of 26-year-old Horace Joseph Brinkley Jr. and 18-year-old Ariel Nichole Golsen. Both had been fatally wounded by gunshots in what was quickly determined to be a double homicide.
