Marcaysia Dawkins

In the fall of 2014, a young woman's life was tragically cut short in a brazen act of violence that shook the community of Lithonia, Georgia. Marcaysia Dawkins, a 19-year-old female, was waiting at a MARTA bus stop on Fairington Road on the morning of November 23rd. A recent graduate of Lithonia High School, she was working at a daycare center and had aspirations of joining the Navy. On that Sunday morning, she was reportedly on her way to get a bus pass for the week.
