In the late hours of a Tuesday in August 2017, a routine disturbance call to 911 would unravel a grim scene in a Lithonia, Georgia condominium complex. Inside one of the apartments in the 5000 block of Par Four Court, police discovered the bodies of three young adults, all victims of a fatal shooting. Among them was 29-year-old Starlynne Henderson, who was visiting her brother, 28-year-old Stanford Henderson, to celebrate his birthday. Also killed was a close family friend, 27-year-old Eric James Robinson.
Starlynne, her brother, and their friend were all found with gunshot wounds. The initial investigation suggested a violent encounter had taken place, leaving few immediate clues for law enforcement. DeKalb County police, including a K-9 unit, searched the area but found no weapon and no immediate suspects. The tragic event left their families devastated and searching for answers. Relatives who gathered outside the cordoned-off apartment spoke of their shock and grief, describing their loved ones as kind and loving individuals.
Despite the initial investigation and the passage of time, the case grew cold. As of August 2025, eight years after the killings, no arrests had been made in the triple homicide. The DeKalb County District Attorney's Office was reportedly reviewing the case as part of a cold case initiative, seeking new leads to bring a resolution to the families of Starlynne Henderson, Stanford Henderson, and Eric Robinson. The motive behind the killings remained unclear to the public, and the person or persons responsible for their deaths were still at large.
