In the early morning hours of September 17, 2015, the life of 31-year-old Yolanda Yvette Faison was tragically cut short in what police described as a home invasion in Waycross, Georgia. Faison, a female, and her live-in boyfriend, 41-year-old Alonzo Jeffery Brown, were both shot and killed inside their residence on Glenmore Avenue. The profound tragedy of the event was amplified by the presence of Faison's four young children, all under the age of 14, who were in the home at the time of the killings but were physically unharmed.
The initial investigation into the double homicide pointed to a robbery as a possible motive, with a 911 call reporting a robbery in progress at the address. Authorities with the Waycross Police Department immediately began a search for two male suspects. Descriptions released to the public characterized the suspects as having a skinny build with no hair or very short hair, and they were last seen wearing black pants and white shirts.
