Andres Arias, a 16-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on November 26, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred on Thanksgiving Day, during a family gathering at The Estuary Apartments on Henderson Mill Road in Chamblee, Georgia. Andres was reportedly trying to protect his two-year-old brother from their drunken stepfather, Cristino Ramos-Santos, when he was shot four times.
