Marcus Antwonne Edwards Jr., a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 1, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred at the Marketplace Apartments on Fairburn Road, where Marcus was shot in the chest early that morning. His death was the first of three shootings reported in southwest Atlanta that day, although investigators do not believe the incidents were related.
