McKinley Hodges, a 38-year-old male, Black/African American, was shot in the pre-dawn quiet of Monday, June 16, 2025, inside the garage of a home on New Hope Road SW in southwest Atlanta. Police were first alerted around 3 to 4 a.m., and investigators later said a group of people had been in the garage when gunfire erupted.
