In the quiet community of Moultrie, Georgia, a horrific scene unfolded on Sunday, May 15, 2016, leading to the death of 21-year-old Jonathan Garrett Edwards, Jr. and four of his friends. The tragedy began to come to light when firefighters were called to a house fire at 505 Rossman Dairy Road. Inside the charred remains of the home, they discovered the bodies of five individuals. The victims were later identified as Edwards, Alicia Norman, 20; Jones Pidcock, 21; Reid Williams, 21; and Jordan Croft, 22.
Initial investigations into the house fire quickly took a dark turn as the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office. Autopsies revealed a grim truth: all five victims had suffered gunshot wounds.
