In the early morning hours of March 2, 2017, a burst of violence shattered the atmosphere inside Jus One More, a bar on Russell Parkway in Warner Robins, Georgia, leaving two men dead. One of the victims was Jabrial Odeal Adams, a 26-year-old male from Warner Robins. The other man killed was 24-year-old Kenny Odel Hart Jr., also a resident of Warner Robins.
Both men sustained fatal gunshot wounds in the incident, which occurred shortly after 1 a.m.
Following the deadly shooting, law enforcement officials in Warner Robins launched an investigation. Their efforts led them to identify a suspect in the double homicide. On March 10, 2017, police announced that they were searching for Travis Bernard Thomas Jr. in connection with the deaths of Adams and Hart. An arrest warrant was issued for Thomas, who was accused of two counts of murder. In addition to the murder charges, he was also wanted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and two counts of aggravated assault.
The community mourned the loss of the two young men. Funeral services for both Jabrial Adams and Kenny Hart Jr. were held jointly on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Warner Robins CME Church. A visitation was held the evening prior at Nelson's Memorial Mortuary, allowing friends and family to pay their respects. The investigation into the double homicide continued as authorities sought information on the whereabouts of Travis Bernard Thomas Jr.
