In the early hours of a Tuesday in Warner Robins, Georgia, the life of 24-year-old Shamair Q. Mitchell, a male, was tragically cut short. The events leading to his death began to unfold inside the Cru Lounge on Highway 247, where a dispute ignited between Mitchell and another individual. The conflict, starting within the lounge's walls, soon spilled out into the parking lot, where it took a fatal turn.
Just before 1 a.m.
on June 28, 2022, in the tense atmosphere of the parking lot, a firearm was introduced into the altercation. Mitchell was struck by gunfire, and in the immediate aftermath, he was transported by a private vehicle to the Houston Medical Center. Despite the swift transport, his injuries proved too severe, and he succumbed to them shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The investigation into the shooting led to the identification and arrest of two suspects. The first to be taken into custody was 20-year-old Samba Diallo of Warner Robins. He was apprehended and charged with being a party to the crime of murder. Following Diallo's arrest, a second suspect, 20-year-old Reggie Roberts Jr., also from Warner Robins, was located and arrested by U.S. Marshals in Hickory, North Carolina. He was subsequently extradited back to Houston County to face a charge of felony murder. The case against at least one of the suspects appears to be ongoing, with court proceedings pending. The investigation continued after the arrests, with the ultimate resolution of the charges awaiting a decision from the judicial system.
