Ms. Sharell Mercer, a 29-year-old African American woman from Statesboro, Georgia, passed away on the evening of March 10, 2017. She was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Statesboro. Sharell was a 2006 graduate of Statesboro High School and was employed at the Dollar General Store in Statesboro.
