In the warm evening of the Fourth of July, 2021, a tragedy unfolded in a Statesboro, Georgia community that would leave a family and community shattered. Brittany Sneed Mack, a 35-year-old female, was found on the back porch of a residence in Lundy's Trailer Park, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders rushed to the scene, but tragically, she was pronounced deceased while en route to the hospital. The grim discovery on that summer evening was only the beginning of a larger, more heartbreaking scene.
Upon entering the mobile home, law enforcement officers discovered two more victims, both of whom had also been fatally shot. They were identified as Brittany's brother, 37-year-old Travis Sneed, and his girlfriend, 37-year-old Kristina Soles. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office with the triple homicide investigation. Autopsies later confirmed that all three victims died as a result of homicide by gunshot.
The investigation into the horrific crime led authorities to a suspect a couple of months later. In September 2021, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of 16-year-old Rolando Millan of East Point, Georgia. Millan was charged with three counts of Felony Murder for the deaths of Brittany Sneed Mack, Travis Sneed, and Kristina Soles. At the time of his arrest in connection with the murders, Millan was already in custody at the Augusta Youth Detention Center on unrelated charges.
The case proceeded through the legal system, and Rolando 'Chico' Millan stood trial for the murders. In November 2023, a Bulloch County Superior Court jury found Millan guilty on all charges related to the July 4, 2021, triple homicide. Following the guilty verdict, the judge sentenced Millan, who was 18 at the time of sentencing, to life in prison without the possibility of parole, with an additional five years for possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony. The motive for the killings was not made immediately clear, though testimony during the trial suggested a dispute over money between Travis Sneed and Millan.
