On the evening of July 4, 2021, a day meant for celebration, tragedy struck in Statesboro, Georgia, claiming the life of 37-year-old Kristina Lillian Soles. A Caucasian woman, Kristina was a beloved mother to two daughters and an employee at Mid-Georgia Pharmacy in Savannah. She had spent most of her life in Brooklet, Bulloch County, and was known for her love of fishing, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
That evening, the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office responded to
a call at Lundy's Trailer Park. Upon arrival, they discovered a gruesome scene. Brittany Sneed Mack, 35, was found on the back porch with gunshot wounds and died en route to the hospital. Inside the residence, deputies found Kristina Lillian Soles and Travis Sneed, 37, both deceased from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist, and the case was quickly classified as a triple homicide. An autopsy later confirmed that all three victims died from gunshots.
The investigation led authorities to a 16-year-old from East Point, Georgia, named Rolando Millan. At the time he was identified as a suspect, Millan was already in custody at the Augusta Youth Development Campus on unrelated charges. In September 2021, the GBI charged Millan with three counts of felony murder for the deaths of Kristina Soles, Brittany Sneed Mack, and Travis Sneed. Investigators learned that Millan had been living in Statesboro at the time of the murders.
In March 2022, a grand jury indicted Rolando Millan on multiple charges, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, cruelty to children in the first degree, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The cruelty to children charges stemmed from the allegation that he shot the three adults in the presence of three children. Millan, who was tried as an adult, pleaded not guilty. His trial began in November 2023. After approximately two hours of deliberation, a Bulloch County Superior Court jury found Rolando Millan guilty on all charges. He was subsequently sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
