Shayla Curtis, an 18-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on April 24, 2017, in Savannah, Georgia. Shayla was one of three victims in a triple homicide that occurred on East 31st Street. The incident, which also claimed the lives of William Mullins, 24, and Courtney German, 31, was a devastating event for the community. Shayla Curtis was a mother of two young children, a three-year-old and a ten-month-old, who now face a future without their mother.
