Daniel Lee Young, a 40-year-old Black man, died late on July 11, 2017, after a family trip turned violent along Interstate 75 near Byron in Peach County, Georgia. According to investigators, the family had been driving home to Birmingham, Alabama, from Orlando when long-simmering tension between Daniel and his son, Deontae Leqwan Young, erupted again inside the vehicle.
