On a late Sunday afternoon in November, a dispute between neighbors over the riding of ATVs near Byron, Georgia, escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 41-year-old Patrick Michael Sondron, a sergeant with the Peach County Sheriff's Office. A United States Air Force veteran, Sondron had served with the sheriff's office for 13 years, having previously been with the Fort Valley and Byron police departments.
