In the late hours of a Tuesday in August 2017, a disturbance call led DeKalb County police to a grim discovery at the Fairington Park Condo Complex in Lithonia, Georgia. Inside one of the apartments, they found the bodies of three young adults, all victims of a triple homicide. Among them was Stanford Henderson, a 28-year-old African American male. He was found alongside his 29-year-old sister, Starlynne Henderson, and their 27-year-old friend, Eric James Robinson. The three had been celebrating Stanford's birthday when they were fatally shot.
The scene that confronted law enforcement offered few immediate clues as to the identity of the killer or killers. Investigators found evidence of drug activity within the residence, leading them to believe the murders may have been drug-related. However, no weapons were recovered from the victims, suggesting they were unable to defend themselves during the attack. The owner of the condominium, who was in a unit below, reported hearing at least a dozen gunshots, describing the incident as terrifying.
