On a Saturday afternoon in Powder Springs, Georgia, a tragic series of events unfolded that cut short the life of 20-year-old Dazel Johnson. On September 23, 2017, Johnson was inside a home on Glendora Drive when he was shot multiple times. First responders found him wounded and rushed him to WellStar South Cobb Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the homicide quickly led authorities to two suspects from the nearby city of Douglasville. Through a collaborative effort between the Cobb County Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, investigators identified Mikal Reid, 24, and Ross Roberts, 25, as the individuals allegedly responsible for Johnson's death.
