Nacari Cari Newson, a 15-year-old African American girl from Atlanta, Georgia, tragically lost her life on January 25, 2018. Nacari was shot in the chest outside a home on Greenleaf Circle. She was immediately transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The incident initially appeared to be a drive-by shooting, but further investigation revealed that the shooting occurred in the yard and was not a result of a drive-by.
