Death by Force

Mildred Martin, an 81-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on July 27, 2015, in northwest Atlanta, Georgia. She was sitting on her screened-in porch, playing cards with her neighbors, when she was struck by a stray bullet. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on Proctor Street. The bullet hit her in the back, and she succumbed to her injuries shortly after.
