Marlon Jermaine Williams, 44, a Black man from Macon, was killed in the early hours of April 14, 2018, on Mason Street between Anthony Road and Carroll Street in west Macon. Deputies were called just before 2:30 a.m. on a report of a person shot, and when they arrived they found Williams lying in the road with a gunshot wound to the chest.
