Lora Marie Gilbert, a 26-year-old Caucasian woman from Columbus, Georgia, tragically lost her life on May 8, 2018. Lora was found dead alongside her husband, Jeffrey Gilbert, in the backyard of their home on Lyn Drive. The incident was a murder-suicide, with Jeffrey, a 25-year-old former Army soldier, shooting Lora before turning the gun on himself. The couple had been going through a contentious divorce and were scheduled to appear in court the morning their bodies were discovered.
