Christopher Welch, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on June 3, 2018, in Atlanta, GA. Welch was found shot to death alongside 18-year-old Chloe Dowdy in a home on Bromack Drive. Both victims were shot in the head, and it appeared that they were acquaintances with the suspect, Rufus Weems, a 62-year-old man. The initial investigation indicated that an altercation occurred inside the home, leading to the fatal gunfire.
