In the summer of 2018, a vibrant young woman's life was tragically cut short in Lithonia, Georgia, over a dispute that escalated to fatal violence. Tomorrow Sade' Kwanzaa Milford, a 24-year-old female, was shot and killed on Friday, June 29, 2018, in an apartment complex on Stonecrest Trail. The incident, which shattered the morning's quiet, stemmed from an ongoing conflict with a neighbor concerning the behavior of Milford's dogs.
The disagreement between Milford and her neighbor, 28-year-old Amanda Allen, also known as Amanda Longmire, had been simmering for some time. On that fateful Friday morning, another encounter involving the dogs occurred, leading to a heated argument. The verbal altercation quickly turned physical, culminating in Allen allegedly shooting Milford in the chest at approximately 8:15 a.m. Emergency services were called, but Milford succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, DeKalb County police launched an investigation. An acquaintance of Milford who was present during the confrontation was interviewed by authorities, providing a witness account of the events that transpired. Based on the evidence and witness statements, investigators identified Allen as the primary suspect.
