In the summer of 2018, the life of 17-year-old Chalyne Richie Tolbert was tragically cut short. An African American male, Tolbert was shot and killed on the evening of August 2nd in South Fulton, Georgia. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Godby Road, outside the Sierra Townhomes.
When officers from the South Fulton Police Department responded to the scene, they discovered the teenager deceased from a gunshot wound.
In the immediate aftermath, law enforcement began an investigation into the murder, appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the person or persons responsible for Tolbert's death. Investigators acknowledged that they were unsure how many individuals were involved in the shooting.
