Waqar Ali, a 21-year-old male from Macon, GA, tragically lost his life on August 21, 2018, due to a fatal shooting during an armed robbery. The incident occurred at the Market Place #5 Store located at 2006 Vineville Avenue, where Waqar Ali worked as a clerk. On the night of the incident, just before 11:00 p.m., a man entered the store as Waqar Ali was leaving and shot him in the chest. Despite being rushed to Navicent Health, Waqar Ali succumbed to his injuries at 3:11 a.m. the following day.
