Roy A. Wilborn Jr., a 60-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 23, 2019, in Columbus, Georgia. His death was the result of multiple gunshot wounds sustained during a violent encounter. The incident occurred late at night near a bus stop at the intersection of Illges Road and Rigdon Road in midtown Columbus. Wilborn was pronounced dead at the Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown campus emergency room early the next morning.
