In the spring of 2019, the life of a young African American woman, 20-year-old Ricaya Pace, was tragically cut short in southwest Atlanta. On the afternoon of April 23rd, a heated argument between two women on Sells Avenue escalated into deadly violence. Atlanta police officers were called to the scene around 1:15 p.m. and discovered Pace with multiple gunshot wounds. There were also indications that she may have been stabbed during the altercation.
