In the late summer of 2019, the life of Dorian Whittington, a 42-year-old African American man, was violently cut short on a street in Atlanta, Georgia. On the evening of August 30th, Whittington was on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when he was ambushed by three unidentified men. The attack was sudden and brutal, with one of the assailants pulling out a firearm and shooting Whittington multiple times.
