Alfred Evans, a 13-year-old African-American boy, was one of the earliest victims in a string of killings that later became known as the Atlanta Child Murders. He had just graduated from the seventh grade in 1979 when he disappeared. His body was discovered on July 28, 1979, in a wooded area off Niskey Lake Road in southwest Atlanta.
