In the late hours of a Friday night in Atlanta, Georgia, a life was tragically cut short. On April 17, 2015, 27-year-old Donte Seymore, a male, was found shot in the torso in the middle of the 3700 block of Adkins Road in the northwest part of the city. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 10:00 p.m. and transported him to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
The initial investigation by Atlanta police revealed that Seymore
had been the victim of a shooting. A handgun was recovered at the scene, though it was not immediately clear if it was the weapon used in the commission of the crime or if it had belonged to Seymore himself.
