In the winter of 2020, the city of Macon, Georgia, was unsettled by a series of violent acts that cut short three lives in as many days. One of the victims in this string of tragedies was Norbert Volmar Jr., a 36-year-old man whose life was abruptly ended. On a Tuesday night, the grim discovery of Volmar's body was made by a fellow resident inside a boarding house on Roy Street. He had been fatally shot in the head.
